To open league, St. Francis ran into a Bosco team that allowed only two shots on goal as they club- bed the Knights 4-0. After three league games the team was 1-1-1 and still in good position to take it all. The team showed character against Loyola as they came from behind at Loyola on a field that was 4. ww-elm :Swish QM Despite a tough league with exceptional talent, the Varisty looked impressive with its second place finish in the San Gabriel Valley league. The Varsity was undefeated when it went head to head with El Rancho who was also undefeated. In their last league match Bosco was beaten in a tough one, 42-21. Stand- outs for Coach Joy and the varsity were George Field and Jon Magana on the lower weights. The middle weights, who were the strengh of the team, were Ray Rodriguez, Lloyd Linder, Keith Hansen, Milton Rivera, and Dana Swart.
