T Jifs aw6B's Gam ' The Junior Varsity and Sophf Frosh Teams met some tough com- petition this year. But with the endurance of Stan Madrid, Manuel Montes, and Antonio Gonzalez, the J.V. Team finished fourth in League. Sophflfrosh finished well in fourth place also. The whole Cross Coun- try Team was coached this year by Victor Sharp Even though the team got to a later start inthe season Vic 7 tor was very pleased with their spirit He expects to see a progressing team. 5 ,W .Q , M ..,. Carfino, Coach Wil- sak. game was decided on a 20 foot Bosco's Varsity Basketball team was again powered by the back- court pair of Steve Cartino and Rich- ard Escandon. They were the lead- ers and continually did what was needed to move the team. These All Del Rey League guards capped their season when they combined for 68 points against Alemany. The highlight of the season and of Bos- co's basketball history was the 57- 56 win over St. Bernard, who was number two in CIF at the time. The jumper by Escandon that gaye the lead to Bosco. In the game Eric Lar- son was perfect with 8 for 8 from the field and 3 for 3 from the line. Eric lead the team in field goalipercent- age with 5896 and in rebounds with 204. To fully show what Cartino and Escandon have done in their four years of Varsity play, their career stats are given special recognition.
