During the summer of 1979 the change happened The hair code regulations were loosened so that hair was allowed to grow till it was halfway down the ear What motivated this drastic change? Well, let Fr. Presenti explain: We made the change so that the code would be more acceptable to the students. Hopefully it will enable them to func- tion better in society. Has the new hair code been obeyed? Generally there has been com- pliance. But there always will be those who will disobey. Will the hair code be relaxed even further in the near future?
