1 The yearbook took off in a new direction this year. The staff wanted this year's book to be a lot less for- mal than last year's. The staff also wanted to use new ideas and designs. Keeping this in mind, the staff came up with this year's theme, - FREE SPIRIT. With this theme the staff wanted to head away from the conventional yearbooks of the past and try something new and differ- ent. The layouts were planned so or .... They als tried to have a less formal appear ance with shorter copy and les structured layouts, the staff tried t add new ideas with different and more artwork. W str f +2 is D . Baclefwbtluaiimaslv In early December, Bosco's drama department persented Neil Simon's Odd Couple a comedy directed by Mr. Carl Castiglione. The play had to be a success in order for the renewed department to con- tinue, so the pressure was on. Days before the play opened, there were still frantic cries of, I don't remember my lines, and, Are you sure l'm supposed to be standing here? And ofcourse there were the technical difficulties - telephones ringing instead of door- bells, lights being turned on and off at the wrong times. Sound like a dis- aster? Well, it wasn't. Something about the magic of the theater and hours and hours of rehearsals that finally paid off. Opening night came and much to the actors' delight fand Mr. Casti- glione's reliefl it went over as a crit- ical as well as a financial success. There were a few rough spots' however, like an angry Oscar Madi- son fEric Knightj knocking a pickle into the audience, but aside from that, nothing too noticeable to the crowd. Not to be satisifed with just one production to make the return of the Drama Department, the crew put on You're a Good Man Charlie Brown at the end of February.
