Bm we-we The musical quality of the band improved even more this year. Their better musicianship allowed them to perform at numerous social events and gigs outside of Bosco. The group gave a number of perform- ances other than at the sporting events. They performed at the Tal- lit pill A lip! s 5 ent Show, Open House, and the Fashion Show. Band leader Mr. Azeltine with Paul DaSiIva on key- boards and Andy Bhupathy on per- cussion provided the music for the Drama Club performance of You're a Good Man Charlie Brown. 1. J. Rogers, S. W str f +2 is D . Baclefwbtluaiimaslv In early December, Bosco's drama department persented Neil Simon's Odd Couple a comedy directed by Mr. Carl Castiglione. The play had to be a success in order for the renewed department to con- tinue, so the pressure was on. Days before the play opened, there were still frantic cries of, I don't remember my lines, and, Are you sure l'm supposed to be standing here? And ofcourse there were the technical difficulties - telephones ringing instead of door- bells, lights being turned on and off at the wrong times. Sound like a dis- aster? Well, it wasn't. Something about the magic of the theater and hours and hours of rehearsals that finally paid off. Opening night came and much to the actors' delight fand Mr. Casti- glione's reliefl it went over as a crit- ical as well as a financial success. There were a few rough spots' however, like an angry Oscar Madi- son fEric Knightj knocking a pickle into the audience, but aside from that, nothing too noticeable to the crowd. Not to be satisifed with just one production to make the return of the Drama Department, the crew put on You're a Good Man Charlie Brown at the end of February.
