Ocetwwgfzaphy Qailli nf The Oceanography Club, moder- ated by Mr. McConnell, offered a wide range of activities for Bosco students who were interested in such areas as marine biology and ecology. Club members participated with the Los Angeles Harbour Department in collecting examples of marine life and testing samples of the harbor's water and bottom for pollution. The students used a geo- logical dredge to collect bottom A plant and animal life. During one collection a rare heart urchin was found. Prehistoric Mastadon tusks have been dredged up on other trips. The members planned an underwater hockey team to com- pete with other local teams at vari- ous swimming pools.
