Shazbatl lt you walked down the hall of the science building this year and heard someone exclaim Shazbatl you may have won dered what it meant Was it a disease an acne preparation the Russian word for gra pelruit'P You may have been bewildered when Greg Puelz walked up to you and said Nannu nannu All this was prool that the invasion ot America by the planet Ork was spreading fast The instigator of all this was Robin Williams, Mork ot Mork and Mindy a new comedy series that quickly built a following among a whole generation The success of the show was without a doubt due to Williams ability to improvise His ad lib ol sometimes whole scenes had audiences in stitches and screaming tor more The sheer speed with which the jokes came at you wore you out with laughter and left you wondering which pans were in the script and which were ad lib It was so exhausting watching the show that you couldnt even do your homework during the commercials Friday mornings there were always several groups of students reviewing the Thursday night show and summarizing tor that poor unfortunate who couldnt watch it because his father threw a paperweight through the picture' tube when the Rams lost the NFC Championship to Dallas Those intellectuals who roamed Bosco's halls carrying huge stacks ol books also found somethingxinter estrng in Mork and Mindy since Mor otten made cracks on social issues and political figures, Even those who were too drab and mature for such childish glbberish watched just to see Mindy. Even if you never watched Mork and Mindy don't despair. By the time you're forty you'll be able to catch the reruns on channel 13 right after I Love Lucy.
