SCJPHGMORE FOOTBALL The sophomore football team finished N. L a fine season with a successful overall record of 5-4. Under the direction of head coach Mike Porzio, the second year gridironers ended their season with a strong third place finish in the Del Rey League standings. The offense was mainstayed by running backs Ben Clark and Robbie Dowell, and balanced by the air attack combination of quarterback Rich Escandon and tight end Harold Prukop lmost touchdowns receivingl. Rudy Schlossen also had a fine year at wide-receiver. On the other side of the line of scrimmage, the sophomore defense was anchored by Jeff Laughlin, Dennis Murphy, Bob Levesque, and Joe was Young.
