This season's soccer team was one of the best ever to represent St. John Bosco. It won 10, tied two, and lost only four gamesg it was undefeated in pre-league play. But this was the year for some of the best opponents- ever, also-especially Salesian and San Gabriel. So, tough opponents and a tough break here and there con- spired to once again deny Coach John Gonzales' team a league title. But there is always next year, and, despite the loss of seven seniors, the team will have a good nu- cleus in eight juniors returning from the first team. Look- ing back over the past season, the play of Joe Sanchez, Alberto Carbono and Robert Romani stood out. TOP-R. Haberman, flanked by D. Crivello lclosest to cameral and A. Carbono, works the ball toward the goal. MIDDLE-R. Romani f i n d s himself hemmed in by a couple of Pater Noster Ea- gles. BOTTOM-Action a g a i n st M i s s i o n found daylight growing dim on a mid- winter afternoon.
