We, the Seniors of St. John Bosco, could not help but ponder over this when last October our classmate, David Melbourne, was killed in a traffic accident. This made each of us realize how very short and uncertain life is. Now we strive to make our lives more meaningful, more useful to our- selves and to others, in constant preparation for what lies beyond. Dave, who was born on August 30, l948, to Dr. and Mrs. Edwin Melbourne, was a graduate from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Grammar School in Downey. He enrolled as a freshman at Pius X High School but trans- ferred to Bosco the following year. He was to graduate this year as a member of the class of I966.
