A TWIST OF OLIVER The Urchins. In this scene, the little devils dance and sing l36s Oliver, played by Mark Brush, sings a forlorn song of lost love. There isn't a wasted word in the Broadway production Oliwir, and its melodies spell a simplicity and purity unique in the thea- ter today. The theme of Oliver, as the classic Dickens tale sug- gests, is a boy's search for love. The essence of the novel is cap- tured in Olive-r's song, Where is Love? and is carried even to the notorious criminal Fagin, who is what he is because he too was never loved. lronically enough, in our adapted musical sketch, put on by our Little Theater Players on March I8 and I9, I966, the plot is twisted and the outcast Oliver finds more love among the outcasts than he did in society.

HWLUCIFER AT Three months after the school year began, the Drama Club, under the direction of Brother Larry Mullaly, surprised the en- tire student body by its dazzling production of Lucifer at Large . With James Fenstermaker and Eric Ramm holding the lead roles, capably assisted by Bill Gaidis, Larry Thatch, and Pat Warren, our thespians forcefully illustrated the unending struggle between God, the Devil, and man. Although the play was only forty minutes in length, its technical precision and acting virtuosity, in the opinion of many, surpassed all pro- ductions seen in the last several years. lt the Drama Club can continue this tradition in coming semesters, we certainly have something to look forward to. LARGE With cadaverous expressions the cast listens as The Devil, Jim Fenstermaker, drops In on Thatch, Gaidis, and Lucifer warns the audience of his uncanny ability while they are discussing what life should mean to a man. to enslave souls.
