First in spiritual significance among all the clubs at Bosco are its sodalities. Pictured here is the Blessed Sacrament Sodality, which is a group composed of the freshman members of our school. This sodality is formally established in the school, and accept- ance into it follows a period of careful screening by the Mod- erator and other co-workers. Sodalities are the moral uplifters, the religious spearheaders at Bosco. Sodality membership is likened to a second reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation, whereby one is strength- ened and made fearless to give good example consistently, to receive and get others to receive the Sacraments frequently. Bosco's Sodalists are the spiritual leaders of tomorrow!- The Blessed Sacrament Sodality, moderated by Brother Tom Bernlson.

Wkllllli 5070 The Saint Dominic Savio Classroom Club was founded on March 5, l950, by the Salesians of St. John Bosco, in the United States of America. The club was organized to present the life and virtues of St. Dominic Savio to American youth of the elementary and iunior high schools of the United States. In over 4,000 Catholic elementary and iunior high schools in this country, 500,000 school children have pledged to live their lives in imitation of St. Dominic Savio and to practice purity in word, deed and thought. Units have been established in all the states of the Union. Programs of religious, athletic and social nature have been organized. Through these programs, chil- dren are encouraged to love and practice virtue, to live and work with one another, to love prayer and to receive the Sacraments of Penance and Holy Eucha- rist often. The Bosco chapter of the Savio Club was lust estab- lished this year, under the leadership of Brother Hank Tavera. We know that the club will live up to its ex- pectations and will become a worth while, and bene- ficial organization on the Bosco campus. l 2l
