George Pratte, George Herne. In a formal ceremony in September ot I965, SJB received its charter and became a branch of the California Scholarship Federation. Don Waldie was selected as President of the new organization, which shortly enrolled more than a dozen members, students meriting ten points on the CSF scale per semester. FORENSIC5 A valuable asset and a source of genuine pride on the SJE campus is the promising Forensics Team. Formed only this year, the group achieved amazing results in its tirst meet, placing third in a sixteen school field at Cantwell. To many assemblies during the year Fr. Dan's polished speakers added appreciable culture with a variety of renditions. In recent Lions Club com- petition, Senior Roger Repohl took first place and Don Waldie took third in their respective divisions.
