SPRING TRACK The Track team accomplished an outstand- ing record. This was due to the fact that each individual performer, when called upon to do so, exercised his best efforts in the behalf of the team. That the Captain, Dewey Potts, did a magnif- icent job in every meet was evidenced by the first place awards he won in the high and low hurdle and the high and broad jump events, and by the versatility he demonstrated by doing well in the half mile relay. Other valuable team members were Chip Young, who excelled in the shot put and discus events, and ,lay Stein, who left many opponents behind him in the 100 and 220 yard dashes. Three others who performed competently were Steve Megregian, Tom Jackson, and Gill Siepert. As a result of the experienced coaches and the diligent members on the team, and the fine moral support from the rest of the school, this year's Track team achieved a degree of success that was comparable with that gained by any other Track team of recent years.
