P ty iwy Country Continues Zkeir Success The Cross Country team again compet- ed in the powerful Mission League. Pre- season highlights included wins over Providence and Windward. Although the young Valiant team was competitive, it did not qualify to participate in CIF. The best times of the season were turned in during the win over St. Pius X and at league finals. The team was lead by the outstanding running of junior Jon Giacomini and Soph- omore Reggie Dechard, Robert Shaules, team captain. Sophomore Robert Fernan- dez, and Junior Justin Smith completed the scoring body of the team most of the season. 93

Considering the tough schedule, the Va- liants played well throughout the season. The team was lead by Junior Chris Meissner and Sophomore Mary Kujawa.
