A CRY FOR LOVE The child: Bewildered and left alone. Starving for love. Screaming for attention. Neglected and uncared for. No one to teach him how To ride a bike or throw a ball. A TRUE FRIEND A person who is like a sister to you. Someone you can talk to. Someone who knows how you feel. Knows you inside and out. Accepts you for who you are. Someone whom you can depend on. Someone who is always ready to listen. Someone you can share your ups-and-downs with. Someone who makes your life a little easier. A person you can share your secrets with. Someone who gives memories a special meaning. -Silvia Sandoval, ' 84 Morgan Weistling Christine Kozberg I DON ' T KNOW WHY I won ' t let you get close to me. I guess I ' m just afraid Afraid of love, afraid of pain I know you want to know me inside but when you get close I want to run I want to hide I know you ' ll always care I ' m just afraid afraid one day I ' ll need you and you won ' t be there. I know it ' s hard for you when you have to see me cry when I think of how it hurts a part of me just dies. I don t understand all these feelings they ' re in my mind with difficult meanings. I ' m all confused please just give me time I need to be alone to think. Is that such a crime? -Angie Ganem, ' 82
