JOHN SU RBRIDGE Due to some trouble in th e schedulings in th e league the J.V. team did not see much action. Their record was-victories over Riordan and Serra, and a loss to Bellarmine. They played well against all of their opponents with hustle and spirit. Lee Ripon did a fine job in all the games leading the team from his Q.B. spot, he was o smart field general. The offensive ballcarrying was held down, well by Wiedel, Di Carolis, and Standifer. Norm Alex- ander and Surbridge were standouts on defense. Other future Varsity prospects in- clude: Ron Pray, Rich An- derson, and the bulk of the J.V. Team. P.C. COACH COLLOTON if . ' ,tt l X,

The Frosh, off to a slow start, reached their peak in the Bellarmine game, and crushed Serra in the last encounter of the season. The team, which showed an absence of depth, did almost provide the upset of the year in the Bellarmine game. Led by Joe Cusimano, Bob Masik, and the running of Roger Hibler the Bells near- ly fell. Other standouts from the Frosh team were Manny Giorodana and Tom Duggan. The teams leading tack- lers were Vince Bischof, Mike Hess, and Tom Surbridge. Biscohf, J. Szydlowski, B. Nowiki.
