The “Golden Knights” of St. Francis acquired a new coach for the '51 campaign in the person of likeable John Pacheco, who not only taught his team how to play rock and sock football, but most important of all, Sports- manship, on and off the playing field. St. Francis compiled a 4-4 record during the season with impressive wins over “Mary, Star of the Sea,” Notre Dame,” Mission,” and Cantwell.
