LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT We, the Class of 1960 of St. Edward High School, in the town of St. Edward, County of Boone, state of Nebraska, being of sound mind and body, do hereby make this our last will and testament, revoking all previous and former wills made by our hands. First, we leave to the dear and beloved faculty, 180 quiet and peaceful days without us, so now they can give their much needed advice to the classes we leave behind. Second, to the Junior Class, we leave our great leadership ability so the school won't fall apart when we leave. Third, to the Sophomore Class, we leave Mr. Liewer's good opinion of us. Fourth, to the Freshman Class, we leave our mature ways and good sense so they will someday outgrow the green ways of Freshmen. Fifth, as we leave SEHS, we have a few personal gifts that we would like to pass on. They are as follows: I, JERRILL ANDREASEN, do will and bequeath my pink slacks and maroon sweater to Dale Martin to go with his hair. I, KATHY ANDERSON, do will and bequeath my red convertible and safe-driving ability to Max Konz so he will live to graduate. I, LYNN ANDERSON, do will and bequeath my ability to play the piano to Ernie Carlson to keep him occupied. I, MICK CASE, do will and bequeath my quiet ways to Linda Week to enable her to get perfect citizenship. 1, BUD FRANCIS, do will and bequeath my Romeo ability to Lee Kemper to give him some fun in life. I, LARRY GAVLIK, do will and bequeath my car to Cletus Werner because I know what it's like to have a sister who takes my car. I, NANCY GAVLIK, do will and bequeath my bashfulness to Rosetta Carlson so she won't be so outspoken. I, RUSS HOWSER, do will and bequeath my ability to love up the girls to anyone who wants it. I, CAROL McINTOSH, do will and bequeath my advice to anyone who doesn't need it. I, DEANNA NOVOTNY, do will and bequeath my ability to go steady to Peggy Jasa so that she will settle down. I, BETTY LOU PARROTT, do will and bequeath my high-pitched voice to Gloria Swanson so she can sing soprano. I, JUDY REARDON, do will and bequeath my connection with the school board to anyone who wants their diploma signed. I, TIM REARDON, do will and bequeath my ability to giggle to anyone who feels depressed with life. I, KENNEY THOM AZIN, do will and bequeath my big feet to all the teachers so they will have a bigger and better understanding. I, GARY THOMPSON, do will and bequeath my ability to walk my girl back to town after stalling my car on a country road to Doug Matzen. I. JOHN WALLICK, do will and bequeath my pointless arguments to anyone who doesn't get the point. I, MIKE WATHEN, do will and bequeath my curly locks to Jim Ellison so he won't have so much trouble with his hair. I, DEAN WHEELER, do will and bequeath my knowledge of the door steps of Genoa, Fullerton, Cedar Rapids, and Albion to anyone who gets bored with St. Ed. I, MARLENE WHIDDEN, do will and bequeath my writing ability and busy ways to Junior Anderson so he can put all his free time to a better use. SENIOR PROPHECY In the year 1975, we decided to make a survey of the graduating class of 1960. This is what we found: KATHY ANDERSON, always fond of the name Wesley, is now the Dean of Weslyan College. LYNN ANDERSON, true to his high school nickname, is now the Governor of Alaska. JERRILL ANDREASEN, who is now married, has ten farms and a son to toil the soil on each. MICK CASE, still associated with the law, is the judge in New York. BUD FRANCIS took a new wonder drug and is now the center for the Harlem Globetrotters. LARRY GAVLIK has now replaced Clark Gable and is starring in Kiss Me Once More.” NANCY GAVLIK is now a hostess on the first interplanetary. RUSSELL HOWSERhas just released his latest record on Mars and it is way out. In New York CAROL McINTOSH is in high society and gives high class parties. DEANNA NOVOTNY tames poisonous snakes to get venom. She always was fond of those little creatures. BETTY LOU PARROTT is a famous clothes designer for Bonanza Fashions of Mars. JUDY RE ARSON just won the 25 mile marathon in the Olympics on the moon. TIM REARDON is now piloting a rocket to the moon and back. KENNEY THOMAZIN also took a wonder drug and is now making millions as a jockey. GARY THOMPSON owns the Omaha Stock Market Exchange. JOHN WALLICK, who always had his head in space, is chief designer for a rocket company. A famous pitcher for the Chicago Giants is none other than MIKE WATHEN. DEAN WHEELER, Governor of Hawaii, just introduced a bill to have Congress meet in Hawaii because it is too cold in Washington, D.C. MARLENE WHIDDEN is writing for the New York Tribune. She is now covering the story about the OVERTHROWING of the Communist Government. This concludes our survey of the Class of '60. Most of our classmates have done very well and we are very proud of them. SNEAK DAY Bright and early Friday, February 19, at 4:00 A.M., 19 wide-awake seniors of the class of '60 boarded the school bus for Omaha. At the wheel was Mr. Galen Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Liewer were our sponsors. Breakfast in Fremont prepared us for the day. Our first stop was Boys Town. A guide showed us the points of interest. We boarded the bus, and our next stop was the air port. After dinner everyone took an airplane ride. In our spare time we went up town, and some shopped and some went bowling. We enjoyed a big supper on the class treasury. After the good meal we went to Cooper Theatre and enjoyed Ben Hur. At 12:00 we started for home. Everyone will remember the good ole S.E.H.S. bus breaking down. We arrived with heavy eyelids at 5:00 A.M. with some wonderful memories never to be forgotten. 15
