Senior Class Prophecy Well, I guess I'm not so old. It's about time I get out and look at the world. Where will I go? Maybe I'll visit some old friends. Let's see, Judy Carter; yes, I think I'll see her. If I fly to Texas I can make it in about 16 minutes, on the new advanced Jetette. Judy was voted by the class to be the most successful girl of the class. There's a sign now, Judith's Hybrid Kitty Ranch . She got her wish too, to live on a ranch or farm. Judy told me Bev Van Wey is an old maid, head of The Better Girl's School . She's completed her book, Women Can Get Along Without Men . Well, I guess it's time to move to Las Vegas, Nevada. I see another sign. Rev. Sam Case will speak tonight on, How to Handle the Young People of Today . Well, California’s a nice state. Sam told me his old pal, Terry Saunders, (bachelor of the class) has a position at the Girls State Reformatory, where he's head of the Athletic Dept. Yes, it's nice and warm here. Bing, bing--Bong, bong--Oh, I see Adrene Staack, the famous piano tuner. She decided she'd rather listen to a piano than to school kids. Believe I'll visit Sgt. Beth Weldon, retired now from the WAC'S. She has decided to find her a man. Beth told me June Long was in Idaho raising potatoes. Last year she won .first prize for the biggest potato grown in the United States. Well, time to start headin’ east, and stop in Minnesota, to visit Jerome Condreay at his Baby Photographer Shop. Punky told me to be sure and visit Professor Gerald Evans,(BA, MA, PHD). He is teaching English and Dramatics at Harvard. 1 went to see lovem' and kill'em Katie Cruise on Broadway in her 40th hit Kiss Me Kate. Kate mentioned that Richard Cumming is very busy arranging schedules and press conferences for Jack Sawyer, famous orator on Sports. I was walking down the New York streets where I met Dr. Rollie Johnson peddling his latest medicine, Sadacall, a cure for sadness. I guess'Dale Matson is busy refereeing wrestling matches. Had a nice chat with him, and learned that Delores Campian washead governess for Prince Charlie and Princess Anne, but now had retired quite comfortably. Bob Eckland is Guard and Business Mgr. of Margaret Truman. Bob sings duets with her to give her a thrill. Now it's back to Nebraska. Madeline Werts is really busy with her family, and especially since taking Mary Lane's place on the World-Herald staff. Ted Mahood runs a school for blondes and teaches the Palmer Method Handwriting. He told me that Nana Cumming is the First Woman to be State Superintendent of Public Instruction. Lois Matzen, has her wish. She is working in a Horsepital, trimming manes and shoes. She informed me that Keith Jensen has been teaching Ag. at St. Edward now for 40 years. He is getting childish now. Bill Schumacher is ambassador to Africa. In his spare time he shines elephant tusks. Mike Weed, boy voted most likely to succeed, was voted to be Mayor of Boone, Nebraska, last November. (I think his 12 beautiful red-headed daughters voted him in.) I recently heard Bethyne Hirsch taught school on Mars, but the little spaceteerswere too much for her, so she moved to Evergreen Cemetery. Since this completed the Class of '54, I returned once again to my home, to grow old gracefully. 15
