Banquet ballad honors athletes The gold records ol the sports world were awarded at the annual Athletic Banquet on April 23. Senator Iames E. Cunningham and Mayor Raymond Gregory topped the list ol honored guests. An overture oi the year's achievemefts in sportsmanship and athletic ability hiqhzoted the evenixq. 71 Honor quests and students enioyed the roast beef dinner, the speeches of the honored dignitaries, and the awards' presentation. The banquet was prepared by the Parents' Club and served by the faithful lrosh. Outstanding boy athletes were presented their trophies by, l. to r., Monsignor Daniel I. Ryan, Iim Mealey, Bill Harrison, Father Iames Regan, Bob Bates. and Perry Winstead. The boys receiving these awards are. l. to r., Iohn Blakely.
