The councii had a somewhat diilficuit time at iirst. for the idea was a new one to most oi the students. At the heginning of the schooi year the memhers are eiected hy the student hody. These students try to carry out the main purpose of the councii which is to Create and promote the proper mentai and morai attitude of the students and to set up a form of government that is democratic and purposeiui. A monitor system was introducedg this proved to he something quite different from anything most oi the students experienced. The councii aiso obtained for assemhiy periods notahie and educational speaicers. Vve hope the iuture student councii memhers have as much enioyment from the experience as we have had.
