Truly, the third floor is where you begin the four-year grind. Next, we were known as that large Sophomore Class. The combination of Elmwood students and St. Bernard students made quite the team, for they mixed very well. This year we are being paged as the future Seniors of St. Bernard. We surprised the Honor Society by having a large percentage of the class inducted into that organization. Now we are looking forward to being Seniors. But we are not happy at thought of leaving St. Bernard High, for we have grown to like school in spite of eight o'clock sessions and the grind of lessons. Ames. I7II7TlI ROW? The cool September breeze brushed across the faces of students in all parts of the country as they started back to school. We, the Sophomores of St. Bernard, were not excepted from this throng. We, too, looked for- ward to a new school year, new activities, and new friends. This school year brought us the title of Sophomore-one more move toward the goal, graduation from St. Bernard High. Our activities were numerous, we participated in the school clubs and functions, we, our- selves, giving a very successful dance. The new friends came for the most part, when the students from Elmwood Place and St. Bernard became classmates. It has been a wonderful year, and we hope that our next two years at St. Bernard High will be as successful.
