Sochor, Perhaps you have heard the familiar word Vdaf spoken, and have wondered at the meaning. The letters that comprise Vdaf stand for the initials of Basilian Academy for Girls in Fox Chase. Vdaf is a Ukrainian quarterly school publication. Vdaf brings to every Ukrainian student news of current events, historical facts, and pleasant ex- periences. The greater part of Vdaf is dedicated to school life. It gives every Ukrainian student op- portunity to express herself in her own language. The work put into each issue may be clearly seen as a product of many minds working together. We are very proud in presenting it. We hope that each issue brings Vdaf closer to perfection.
