lfwlzile Qeveloping oise in of S Dramatics play an important part in our nonworking hours at S. B. A. ln order to stimulate interest in it and broaden its scope, the Slipper and Sash Club was founded twelve years ago. During the 1959-1960 school year the Club received its charter from the Student Council. Membership in this club entitles the girls to try out for the annual play and the operetta. The development of speech, physical poise in public, and the acquisition of a confident and effective ease in social manners have been cited as its advantages. In addition we have been given the opportunity to work on stage lights, paint scenery, make costumes, not to mention the numerous other aspects of organization needed to produce a show. In other words, we have experienced a taste of the theatrical world. The curtain is now closing, however, for as seniors we have approached the end of the third act-graduation.
