This is the time of our life that all the good Catholic practices you have taught us will go into effect so that we may be good useful citizens of our country. It is a time of happiness and sor- row. Happily and hopefully we look forward to our futures in the world. Sorrowfully we leave our friends, good times and sheltered lives. This may be the last time we will see the friendly familiar faces at St. Basil Academy. At this turning point we look into the future and hope that the dim rays of light we see our happiness, and all our dreams and ambitions are fulfilled. We go into the world bringing with ourselves the practices of our faith that you have instilled in us. Not only will we carry these practices with ourselves but we will put them into use and be lay apostles. As we walk down the aisle on graduation day we live our four years all over in a few seconds. We see each year as it appeared then and now. We relive each silly mistake, yes, and each moment in which we were proud of ourselves. Finally, when we receive our diploma on stage, we realize that at last we have outgrown high school and are ready to begin our life's work.
