ie Activities play a maior role in the life of all S. B. A. girls Listed as one of their favorites is the sport of Field Hockey. In September, rested from their summer va- cation, Basilianettes are seen on the hockey field daily practicing new techniques for their first long-awaited game. The Varsity and J.V. squads are chosen, and team work becomes the main essence of all plays. Flicks, dribbles, and corners are practiced for accuracy, and the girls try to overcome all obstacles which may hinder their playing. Since not everyone is eligible for the team, hockey fundamentals are taught in all gym classes. This gives the rooters a broader un- derstanding of what is taking place on the field. Under the guidance of their coach and their moderator, S. B. A.'s sticksters, whether win, lose, or tie, are sure to bring honor by their good sportsmanship. - ..... -..L What happened to the ball? Kathleen Ocker looks puzzled as she turns to go after it. Susan Lynch and Mar- garet Malpezzi also hurry down the field. S.B.A. and Melrose game gets under way with the familiar cry l'Ground Sticks.
