Helps Us to now the Sbeop e of the W 72 ! X Emma Prieto and Bernadette Cowhey are fascinated by the French magazine as Mrs. J. Ollivier explains the different articles to them. NS X i. X . Ar' . .1 'y Watch me . . . explains Elizabeth Gr:Hin as she demon X strates how to pronounce the German words correctly to Mary Matwijiw, Melanie Struc, Mary Goletz, Barbara Harris Helen Weiler and Marcia Zin. Yes, it is true, we have come a long way. Now we feel we are ready to go out into this much troubled world of ours as fine American citizens. As a preparation for this we became acquainted with different countries by study- ing a few of their languages. The result of these years of studying has given us a better knowledge and under- standing of our brothers and sisters afar. Oh, it was difficult, memorizing the Latin and Spanish vocabulary, and learning the correct pronunciation of French and German. lt too, took a while until we became fully ac- quainted with the Ukrainian alphabet. Now we have a feeling of accomplishment. We feel we have something, something no one but God himself will ever be able to take from us-knowledge-the backbone of a good Christian citizen. 1 4 TR Sister M. Charles looks on as her Spanish l students, Cathleen Salantri, Helene Daly, and Nadia Wozniak, display their knowledge with various items.
