Today's freshman grumbles over the huge reading assignments in World History, but as she matures, she dis- covers the hidden fire in these printed pages of tradition. As seniors looking back upon three years of history classes, we recall the fascinating and wonderful things we learned in those daily forty- five, minute periods. We explored the. ancient civilization of the Phoenicians, Egyptians and lncas. We relived the days of slavery, civil strife, explorations in our own United States. And finally, in a class we called P.O.D., we probed the crucial situations of our modern world. lt has been proven time and again, that old proverb History repeats itself is true. There is no better way to meet the challenges of today, than to prepare for them by studying the problems of yesterday. Certainly the tremendous task faced by the Christian citizens in a democracy can be facili- tated by knowledge of the experience of those who came before us.
