N The most popular and oldest form of entertainment at S. B. A. is the annual operetta. After many long, tedious sessions practising our parts-be it chorus, dancing, or a leading role-we wonder if all this preparation to make this the best yet is really worth it. However, when the audience applauds our presentation, our fears are dismissed. Each day, strains of music resound through the halls of the school as the choruses practice for the big event. Will we ever iron out those sharps and flats? The dancers have similar problems. Will we ever get in step? In l958, we gave our interpretation of Plain and Fancy, and we assumed the Amish way of life of these plain people. As we ioin our alumnae we become part of a large group all of whom look back with fond memories of operetta days. 87
