During this period we learn the history of music and its progress from primitive times to the present symphonic and rock and roll music. We learn about the four main divisions of instruments and how they have been improved through the ages. ln this way we learn to appreciate the man-made instruments that bring such pleasure to the ear. We also get the opportunity to exercise our vocal cords by rendering a solo or by ioining with the whole class in singing some favorite folk songs. In art class we are taught the proper uses of paints, crayons, and clay. The main proiect held each year is the competitive contest held among the students for the best poster advertising the annual bazaar. M L t NMNVXZL . A AA 7 I w ' , i 'xf . s ' f . Full of enthusiasm and unquenchable S.B.A. spirit, the junior class has generously supplied us with moments that will live forever in our treasure house of memories. Shall we ever forget the zest of your bazaar, the enchantment of the senior banquet, the ioy and solemnity of ring day? Your third year at Saint Basil's seemed filled to capacity with classes and extra curricular activities, but it is as a drop of water in an ocean in comparison with what is to come. We enioyed all of it and wouIdn't change anything. And now as commencement day draws nearer we pray that the Blessed Mother will aid you, dear iuniors, as she has so graciously supported us through our final year at our beloved academy. TOP ROW: M.
