Andrea, Moderator Maureen Marron, President Shelly Bustard, Vico President These are our Sophomores. We have every reason to be proud of them, as they have proved themselves true Basilianettes. They, too, had problems to face in this year, but they have certainly shown that they can over- come their troubles easily. We were very happy to see that the Sopho- more class carried on a tradition that is so dear to our own hearts-that of entertaining the children from St. Basil Home. How can we forget the wonderful St. Patrick's Day program they put on for their fellow students. As they entertained us, our minds went back to that day when we were sophomores, those are the memories so dear to us. We hope that they will always remain one wonderful unit until they, too, become Christian Women of the World. If at any time they should ever go astray please, Dear Mother, guide them and lead them back on the right path of life. We are so proud of them that we want everyone else to appreciate their worth. 5 ,flfxll lg W earn o Ove an ajesty Forty-tive minutes each day is spent learning more about God and His Mother, Mary. This class is simply called Religion. During fresh- man year we concentrated on the deeds of love attributed to the Eternal Father, learned how God made man and bestowed on him wondrous gifts, how man reiected God's good- ness and forfeited eternal happiness, and how God promised to restore that reiected priv- ilege to those who would believe. In our sophomore year we learned that Christ the lncarnate Son satisfied the divine iustice of His Father and regained for us the opportunity to hope for everlasting bliss in heaven. As iuniors the mysterious workings of the Holy Spirit were unfolded before our eyes. We discovered that sanctitication and salva- tion could be realized by the graces which Christ flows into human lives. God the Father teaches us how to love Him and teaches us what to do to be loved in return. In our senior year we learned how to get to Jesus through Mary-Ad .lesum per Mariam. We were helped to choose and know our state in life, we learned how the seventh, eighth, and ninth commandments help us, and what we should know about apologetics in order to uphold our Catholic Faith. We will always remember the hours spent in religion class, and we pray that we may truly live our religion throughout our lives. - Neonilo Switenko dictates while Helen Splawnyk outlines on blackboard as Daria Stulkowsky looks on. ei 3' fix if ' vll file. i Y s I-g. t, , - - fn I, ' 'Ig g - .
