bilge QQeceivecf the Symho! of cgueniority Helen Niemann, Marygene Baker, and Dorothy Graber are going to take home souvenirs. A group of parents present at the Ring Day ceremonies From the depths of anticipation and the heights of breathless suspense we anxiously ap- proached our seats of honor- to receive the ring of St. Basil. Nervous tension rose and ebbed as our precious class rings were slipped one by one on quivering fingers. Mirthful hearts then burst with gladness as we proudly gazed on a flaming torch of love strengthened in beauty by the blueness of its underlying gem signifying loyalty-even as our love is strengthened by our deep loyalty to Saint Basil. Terminating a solemn ceremony on this joyous occasion, senior sisters stepped triumphantly forth to sport their second laurel of the senior year to blissful parents and admiring students. With compliments and wishes to wear the ring in health and success, the second phase of the '59 dream was crystalized by old mother time. But 27Zemories emam, orever An annual tradition that each Senior looks forward to with anticipation is the Senior Banquet. We cannot help but feel sad for this is a sign of the closing of our high school life. The Farewell Banquet is held in the audi- torium during May. We as Juniors were able to capture that certain Oriental atmosphere in our theme, Sayonara. Our homemade Geisha girls gave Sayonara a more realistic effect, Since we now realize that a banquet of this sort entails hard work and time, we can more fully appreciate our banquet as a most memorable occasion.
