A group of parents present at the Ring Day ceremonies From the depths of anticipation and the heights of breathless suspense we anxiously ap- proached our seats of honor- to receive the ring of St. Basil. Nervous tension rose and ebbed as our precious class rings were slipped one by one on quivering fingers. Mirthful hearts then burst with gladness as we proudly gazed on a flaming torch of love strengthened in beauty by the blueness of its underlying gem signifying loyalty-even as our love is strengthened by our deep loyalty to Saint Basil. Terminating a solemn ceremony on this joyous occasion, senior sisters stepped triumphantly forth to sport their second laurel of the senior year to blissful parents and admiring students. With compliments and wishes to wear the ring in health and success, the second phase of the '59 dream was crystalized by old mother time.
