The first social event on the Saint Basil school calendar is Big Sister Day. At this assembly the various organizations in the school are introduced to the newcomers, so that they can decide whether they would be interested in ioining the publications, sports, drama or music departments. Then each senior draws the name of a freshman who will be her little sister for the school year. The senior, then, is expected to advise the fresh- man about school regulations, and do every- thing that she can to make her little sister an ideal Basilianette.

ur cigolzouglits guru owarcl Qarr's The Grand March starts the whirl of the enchanting evening. Bob Anderson, Helen Currie, and Kevin Per- rine gaze admiringly at Loretta Hitchcock's tiara. The night of our dreams finally arrived-Our Junior Prom. The moment we entered the auditorium our hearts were carried oFf to Paris for a whirl-a Parisian Whirl. An Eiffel tower reflected the glittering lights of Paris lor was it our eyesl and towered over us. Numerous French sayings decorated the walls and the lovely music to which we danced all added to the eliect of the veritable divine night. We were all a little frightened at the prospect of the receiving line. lt looked so long and could we ever get through it without stuttering or stumbling? Our worries were all in vain for our wonderful chaperones soon put us at ease. The regal grand march brought us our cherished, shim- mering, blue and silver prom keys and almost too soon the strains of the last song Affair to Remember whirled us off never to forget the fabulous time and all the wonderful memories we have. Helen Niemann and Dorothy Graber ask their escorts, Tony Rihl and Tom Strowhouer for advice on filling out prom booklet.
