The first social event on the Saint Basil school calendar is Big Sister Day. At this assembly the various organizations in the school are introduced to the newcomers, so that they can decide whether they would be interested in ioining the publications, sports, drama or music departments. Then each senior draws the name of a freshman who will be her little sister for the school year. The senior, then, is expected to advise the fresh- man about school regulations, and do every- thing that she can to make her little sister an ideal Basilianette.
