xpresse anc! cgbulnfislzecf in the onnet ICE'- .vt .G 21 iff' raps! ns, i-M11 ? V ns. Martha Muszak and Lilli- anna Hladycz observe the intricate Ukrainivn design on SONNET , cover. Roma Subbotin, Editor The Sonnet, which is a Ukrainian literary magazine published once a year contains original material sub- mitted by the Ukrainian students of St. Basil Academy. lt contains poems and short stories depicting student life at the Academy and ideas connected with various oc- casions and seasons. The purpose of this Ukrainian pub- lication is to keep alive the Ukrainian spirit that has existed within the halls of St. Basil Academy throughout the past years. The SONNET gives the students an op- portunity to express any idea or thought that they may have in their own native Ukrainian language. For many, writing a poem may be a challenge, for some a pleasure, but all experience the same ioy that accompanies the sight of your idea printed in bold letters on shiny white paper. Knowing that you also have contributed to make the Sonnet worth reading and enjoying is in itself a great accomplishment and satisfaction. One of the oldest members of St. Basil Order, Mother M. Euphemia, OSBM, is more than willing to aid Oksana Bohachevsky in choosing a good topic on which to write. tx ,,,f.f Something amusing has attracted Eugenia Martyniw, Roma Subbotin and Joan Cisyk in an issue of the SONNET
