The excellence of the Torch has been recognized off the campus through ratings from the National Catholic Press Association and the National Scholastic Press Associations. ln future years we will wistfully look back on the many hours spent in preparing the Basilian Torch for distribution. These, certainly, will be among the most cherished moments of our days at SBA. Adding prestige to the routine procedures of iournalism is the recently established chapter of the Quill and Scroll Society at SBA. Named for Clare Booth Luce, prominent Catholic leader in world affairs, its primary purpose is to encourage and reward individual student achievement in iournalism and school publications. The Society requires that certain minimum standards be met before students may qualify for its highly coveted awards.
