Freshman Presentation At the conclusion of the program, freshmen sing: 'In problems large and small, we conquer all. Cheerleaders intone the song: XVe've got the spiritg we've got the fightg Hooray for the Orange and White! K T 1-I 3 Freshmen pledge themselves to emulate the virtues of simplicity and love in imitation of their patron. Wzlwfing their colors, orange and white, and chanting the freshman cheer, the newest class of St. Andrew's marched down the center aisle to the front of the audi- torium. This was the moment when the Class of '66 proud- ly disclosed its motto, Il is in giving that we rereiveg the flower, Bird of Paradise: mascot, Dino the dinosaurg and the class song. As the curtains opened, revealing an inspir- ing tableau of St. Francis of Assisi, class patron, a quiet hush fell over the audience. After singing the prayer of St. Francis, Lord, Make Me an Instrument of Thy Pencef' the freshmen filed to their student body places.

The lyrics of When You Wish Upon A Star match the thoughts of the Royal Court as they begin the Queen's Dance. The Royal Fantasy theme of the annual G.A.A. Ball was skillfully carried out with graceful fes- toons of angelhair which glistened under the soft blue lights and silver stars. The royal court was chosen from candidates representing every home- room who had competed for the coveted honors of the evening. Guests exclaimed delightedly when G.A.A. President Elaine Vilven announced Rita Ottoson as the reigning queen. Striking up for the Command Performance , the Royal Aires played Ro al Fantasy ws? fe JL V V if et,, I i Smiling radiantly, Rita Ottoson is crowned queen by G.A.A. Presiden Elaine Vilven. Princesses Dorothy Taylor, Noreen Antrim, There: Bylard, and Kathleen Byrne reflect the gaiety of the occasion. the queen's dance which was followed by other dance tunes throughout the evening. - Candy Camps Consolidate Kickoff rally sees toys come to life in the Nutcracker Sweet. Fi sf? History repeats itself. So it was on November 16, 1962, when Corporal Hendrickson of the South accepted the Yankee challenge which began the second Civil War . Under the spirited leadership of Secretary of War Hildum, the Blue and Gray struggled to bring victory to their camps. Armed with bars of World's Finest Chocolate and inspired by frenzied rallies, the Yanks and Rebs proved once again that St. Andrew's is tops in spirit. Unlike the preceding Civil War, however, the Senior Regiment led the South to victory in the fund-raising candy drive. Even the hillbillies have heard about World's Finest Chocolate.
