Gver the public address system, a raucous voice announced that their judgment had arrived. Emerging from the gloomy darkness, cannibals escorted victims to their doom. Ominous sounds of throbbing native drums, and shrieks of fierce tribal leaders summoned withering freshmen to their fate: rolling bones with their noses, singing a native chant, and performing the tribal twist. Although victims weren't stewed by the cannibals, they were roasted by the onlookers, thus becoming officially initiated into the stu- dent body of St. Andrew's. My Eyes Are Turned Toward the Lord. Annually, a day of prayer and reflection breaks into a busy schedule, giving us a necessary opportunity to reorganize our spir- itual lives. Father Sartoris, while holding our attention with humor and wit, hit hard at the basic truths upon which sincere Chris- tian lives must be founded. He challenged us to meet the stand- urds of Christlike living, and urged us to determine our goals for the ensuing year. Senior Dance Provides Welcome Intrusion ? Q ,Q le u 1 n Wheres the skipper? St. Andrew's. Businessman's luncheon for senior tycoons Baking cookies, decorating the auditorium, and selling tickets formed a part of the preparation for the first dance of the year. The seniors' efforts were amply rewarded by the delight of all who attended their dance, Waves of Welcome. Color- ful nautical decorations and the swinging rhythm of the Intruders gaily welcomed aboard both freshmen and returning students.
