QR Peggy Collins Editor Shattered nerves and lost tempers can usually be found in the Tower room where staff members gather to create the 1963 Tower. Well-worn erasers. piles of papers, and overflowing waste- baskets are often the only apparent results of a typical work session, but the finished product proves that the desperate struggles to meet dead- lines are successful. Frustration, annoyance, and near-despair, unforgettable and inescapable emo- tions shared by each faithful staff member, are suddenly transformed into pride and joy on the day when the arrival of the yearbooks is an- nounced to an eager and appreciative student body. At that long-awaited moment, the hours of work are amply rewarded.
