Wir T 'T7' Madeleine Sherlock President Generosit - Key to Service Club Loyalty, dedication, and responsibility are the marks of students chosen to be members of the Service Club. Assisting the faculty and student body, they sponsor a variety of activities from the rental of berets, and supervision of the Lost and Found Department to the sale of snacks and desserts to starving students. Club members as- signed to individual posts are also responsible for the immaculate condition of the lounges and campus. Climaxing a year of outstanding service to the school, the Service Club hosts the last dance of the school year. Theresa Rogers serves Fritos to Carmen Chavez. News .. QR Peggy Collins Editor Shattered nerves and lost tempers can usually be found in the Tower room where staff members gather to create the 1963 Tower. Well-worn erasers. piles of papers, and overflowing waste- baskets are often the only apparent results of a typical work session, but the finished product proves that the desperate struggles to meet dead- lines are successful. Frustration, annoyance, and near-despair, unforgettable and inescapable emo- tions shared by each faithful staff member, are suddenly transformed into pride and joy on the day when the arrival of the yearbooks is an- nounced to an eager and appreciative student body. At that long-awaited moment, the hours of work are amply rewarded. Power of the TOWER is Mirro-Graphic Representative Mr. Robert Hopkins, and Photographer Mr. Thomas Broome assist new staff members with layout and photography problems. Mr. Broome and Peggy Collins take a brief rest from a busy schedule for a conference. U
