At St. Andrew's a variety of science courses is offered for college preparatory students in laboratory sciences. Chemistry is offered to juniorsg seniors may choose either physics or biology, Two special courses were added this year. Principles of the Physical Sciences was made available to freshmen with high scholastic at- tainments, and Principles of the Biological Sciences gave enterprising sophomores a similar challenge. As a survey course, general science fulfills graduation requirements for someg to others it offers a background for further studies in this field. In our business department, potential secretaries are taught the use of various types of modern office equipment. Stu- dents of typing learn the fundamentals of office work as well as first aid for bro- ken finger nails. Although Gregg short- hand seems confusing at first, future stenographers master the skill of turning words into legible signs. The most notice- able results of the bookkeeping class are uncluttered desks and organized files.
