CASI O IGHT Springing from the union of natural sailor generosity and an unexplainable urge to lose money, Casino Night rapidly became a convenient vehicle for fund-raising. In a festive atmosphere of free food, live music, and various gaming tables, Spruance sailors glad- ly spread their dollars around for various good causes. Re- cipients of this generosity, of- ten in excess of 51,000 per event, included the Com- bined Federal Campaign and the Spruance Wives' Support Group. The Chiefs Mess and First Class Mess were among the sponsors of this philan- thropic.
