English is required of all S.H.S. students because a good basis in our own language is necessary in nearly WI everything we do. After successfully completing English 'I X' ' courses in the sophomore and junior years, a senior may M choose from three types of English, College English, Gen- K ' I +- eral English, and Commercial English, according to his X XS specific need. --S10 Q-2-is X X X This sophomore English class is listening to their teacher, Mrs. Rahn, as she reads 'some of the literature which is an important part of their study. Right: Students in Miss Fisher's junior English class listen to records which are con- nected with their study of English. This method of learning is popular with the stu- dents.
