Suddenly, rhe season wos all over. And for rhe firsr rime in seven years, rhe varsity volleyball ream hod captured firsr place in disrricr. Our seoson was very successful and exciting. It was the first time we hod won districr since I ' ve been here, coach Sylvia Orriz said. Ir wos olso rhe first time the ream hod mode it to bi-district, area ond regionol comperirion. Many focrors such as rhe vicrory cheer — we ore the Spring Woods Tigers, woosh ' — and o specific ploying strategy contributed to the teom ' s winning streak. We worked on developing our porenriol skills ond rhe confidence of rhe ream as a whole, Or- tiz sold.
