National Honor Society The national Honor Society is made up of junior and senior leaders with above average grades. To gain membership in this national honorary organization, a student must meet the grade point ratio requirement, by recommended by a teacher, and demonstrate in- volvement in a wide range of school activities. Twen- ty-five new members were inducted in the Honor Society at an evening ceremony held on February 13. 1980, in the Spring Valley Library.

Anchor Club Participating in a variety of activi- ties, the Anchor Club was very active this year. The members sponsored a skating night for the Babcock Center and their annual Road Rally. In addition a Carna- tion Day in February helped the club earn money. During Pride Week, the Anchor Club held a slave auction which promoted school spirit. They also partici- pated in the poster contest for the Spring Valley-Richland North- east game and sponsored Tweety Bird and Sylvester during Home- coming Week. Through these ac- tivities and many more, the An- chor Club had a busy and worth- while year. 24
