Homecoming Homecoming was an action filled week for the faculty and the students. On certain days students showed their spirit by wearing jerseys, hats and buttons. For the first time in the history of Spring Valley, the school had a homecoming float. The float was sponsored by Student Council and was constructed by many students who volunteered their time. On Friday there was a special pep rally for the game with Eau Claire. Later that evening Becky LeFebvre was crowned Homecoming Queen. Debbie Cun- ningham was first runner-up and Laura White was second runner-up. The Vikings defeated Eau Claire by a score of 35-7 and Homecoming closed with a dance, sponsored by Student Council, in the commons after the game. 1. Mrs. Sweeney shows the students how to pomp the float. 2. Wilfred Rogers dis- plays his spirit on hat day. 3. 2nd runner- up, Laura White stands with escort Rus- sel Powell. 4.
