Fr. Westland and Mr. Eisele, instruc- tors of physics, Whose highly de- veloped seismograph has brought early reports to the college science departments, thence relayed to Wash- ington, of the many earthquakes that have devastated the World. Aside from his duties as instructor of English and speech, Mr. Woolley has developed to a high degree an in- terest in dramatics through the Little Theatre Movement of the Yenni Players in which he serves as director. Through professional productions of The lmportance of Being Earnest, Winterset , and Oedipus, the King the public has been drawn to the school. In the line of direct service to the school and the student body, few mem- bers of the faculty deserve more praise than Mr. Colkin, instructor in history and education, Who, through his tire- less efforts, has developed for the stu- dent body a varied, Well-organized in- tramural program. for an increased knowledge of music. Mr. lVlcNaspy, professor of Latin and Greek, is also largely responsible for the recently organized classical fra- ternity which has done much to fos- ter an interest in the classics. Debating, under the guidance of Mr. Mullahy, instructor of biology and speech, has reached a new high at the Hill through his careful organization of debate schedules, radio forums, and guest appearances at various Mobile clubs. ln athletics, the college is fortunate in the services of Mr. Earle Smith, who for several years has directed the suc- cess achieved through major sports at the Hill. Mr. Smith, as coach, is as- sisted in the promotion of athletics by Mr. Sweeney, faculty chairman of athletics. Important additions to this year's faculty included Dr. Paul DeLaunay, noted artist, whose courses in the his- tory of art and free-hand drawing have been well received, Fr.
