ROW TWO Parsons, Butch Freeman, Jerry Jones, lim McRunnels. This year's track squad did very well in conference competition, and sent five contestants in four divisions to the state meet at Ames. Those who qualified were: Tom Ransford--180 yd. low hurdlers, Jim Kennedy --mile run, Ron Wyatt--440 yd.dash and 220 yd. dash, and the mile re- lay team consisting of Tom Edwards, Bill Eads, Ron Wyatt, and Tom Ransford. The mile relay team set two records--3:39.0 at the Estherville Re- lays and 3239-Z at the Aurelia District Meet. Although the boys were young, they had a very successful season. These words were used in discussing the biggest social event of the year, namely, the Junior-Senior Prom. This event was put on by the juniors in honor of their departing senior friends. The banquet began at 6:30 in the lunch room with Don Reddel presiding as master of ceremonies. The prom, itself, got under way at 8:00 p.m. in the gymnasium and the music was furnished by Don and his Dixielanders . The juniors started making preparations for this prom months ahead of time.
